Joseph Donald Guessford, Jr.

Williamsport, Maryland- Joseph Donald Guessford, Jr., 61 of Williamsport, MD passed away on Friday September 27, 2019 at University of Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore, MD.

Born in Hagerstown, MD on October 20, 1957, he was the son of the late Joseph Donald, Sr. and Margaret Virginia Hawks Guessford.

He attended Williamsport High School.

He retired from Coffman Nursing Home in Hagerstown, MD.

Joey was a jack of all trades and he loved fishing and his family.

He is survived by a daughter Sarah Guessford Liddle of Delray, WV, 2 sons Joseph D. “JD” Guessford, III of Clear Spring, MD and Patrick Guessford of Harpers Ferry, WV, 2 sisters Patty Everitt and Nancy Hoch both of Williamsport, MD, a brother Les Guessford of Halfway, MD, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents Joey was preceded in death by a sister Donna Guessford and a brother Ronald “Ronnie” Guessford.

Graveside services at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport, MD will be announced at a later date.

It was Joey’s wish that his body was donated to science.
