Williamsport, MD – Kenneth Eugene Kirby, Sr., 77, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.
He was born on January 24, 1941 in Williamsport, MD to the late Ernest Melvin and Helen Elizabeth Hose Kirby.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice “Flick” Lowman Kirby in 2008.
Ken was employed by Redland Brick Cushwa Plant Williamsport, MD for 40 plus years until retiring in 2008.
He was a Christian.
He was a member of IORM Conococheague Tribe #84 Williamsport, MD.
Ken enjoyed playing horseshoes, softball, bowling, spending time with his family, and playing tip jars with his best friend Terry Higgins at the Red Men.
He is survived by his son Jeffrey L. “Trigger” Kirby and his wife Lisa of Williamsport, MD; son Kenneth E. Kirby, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Maugansville, MD; son William A. “Billy” Kirby and his wife Penny of Shippensburg, PA; son Todd R. Kirby and Jennifer of Greencastle, PA; special companion Bonnie Kirby; sisters Nancy, Betty and Mary; brothers Donnie, Bill, Paul, Junior, Robert, and Ronnie; grandchildren Jordan, Tyler, Kolton, Michael, Catilyn, Matthew, Chrissy, Amber, Jessica, Stephanie, and David; great grandchildren Parker, Robert, Ariel, Rozylan, Skylar, and Payton.
He was predeceased by a sister Frances Weller and a great grandson Dominic.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 am with Rev. Ernest E. Witmer officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD.
