Keedysville, MD – Larry Lynn Giffin, 63, of Keedysville, MD passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.
He was born on July 10, 1956 in Hagerstown, MD to Pauline F. Hamill Giffin of Sharpsburg, MD and the late James W. Giffin, Sr.
He was the owner of L&L Trucking as a Commercial Mail Contractor for the United States Postal Service in Frederick, Maryland until his retirement in 2016.
Larry was a member of Boonsboro Church of God Boonsboro, MD.
He was also a member of Redmen Chippewa Tribe #19 IORM Frederick, MD.
He loved Nascar, the Green Bay Packers, and operating his John Deere Backhoe. He also had a passion for his Ford trucks.
Besides his mother he is survived by his wife of 13 years Phyllis L. Giffin; daughter Gidget Laster and her husband James, Sr. of Keedysville, MD; daughter Ashley Laster and her husband Chris of Boonsboro, MD; loving grandchildren A.J., James, II, Dallas, Austin, Logan, Kayla, Chloe, Sophia, Ari, Gracie, and his loving dog Harley; brother James W. “Bud” Giffin, Jr. of Sharpsburg, MD; brother Jeffrey L. Giffin of Florida; sister Loretta Van Reenen of West Virginia; sister Ethel Jones of Sharpsburg, MD; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday, December 16, 2019 from 7:00-9:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Monday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dan Fraley officiating. Interment will be in Mt. View Cemetery Sharpsburg, MD.
