Lee Robert Rhodes

Sharpsburg, Maryland- Lee Robert Rhodes, 77 of Sharpsburg, MD passed away on Sunday November 5, 2017 at his home.

Born in Big Cove Tannery, Pennsylvania on January 31, 1940, he was the son of the late Silas and Ruth Leota Keefer Rhodes.

He was preceded in death by his wife Trude Eigner Rhodes on October 22, 2003.

He served in the United States Army.

Lee was employed with Jeff Crampton Rentals in Hagerstown for the past 35 years.  He also owned and operated T&L Tires in Boonsboro for 11 years.

He was a member of Clopper-Michael Post #10 American Legion in Boonsboro, MD.   He enjoyed singing karaoke, going to tractor pulls, camping, cookouts, hunting and fishing.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and farming was a big part of his life.

Lee is survived by a daughter Brenda L. Stum and her husband Kenneth of Franklin County, PA, 3 sons Richard E. Rhodes and his wife Debbie of Williamsport, MD, Randy L. Rhodes and his wife Sarah of Berkeley Springs, WV and Robert E. Rhodes and his wife Theresa of Sharpsburg, MD, 3 sisters Faye Gatrell of Hagerstown, MD, Sarah Caruso of the Florida Keys and Geraldine Barnes of Hagerstown, MD, a brother Gerald Rhodes of Keedysville, MD, 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son and infant brother, a brother Paul Rhodes and a brother Donald Rhodes and a grandson Brandon Rhodes.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday November 8, 2017 from 7:00-9:00pm at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD 21795.  For the convenience of family and friends the funeral home will open on Wednesday at 9:00am.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday November 9, 2017 at 11:00am at the funeral home with Pastor John D. Sumpter officiating.  Burial will follow at Manor Cemetery Boonsboro, MD with full military honors.
