Hagerstown, MD-Lindin Ione Easterday, 79 of Hagerstown, Maryland passed away on Friday July 26, 2019 at Williamsport Retirement Village in Williamsport, MD.
Born in Hagerstown, MD on January 2, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Paul William and Blanche Gower Bomberger.
She was a 1957 graduate of Williamsport High School and worked as a Bookkeeper for Brethren Mutual in Hagerstown, MD for 32 years.
She was a faithful and dedicated member of St. James Brethren Church since 1952 where she taught Sunday school. She was a very loving person and would help anyone who needed her and placed others ahead of herself. She loved gardening and mowing grass on her zero turn lawn mower.
Lindin is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Russell E. Easterday, a sister in law Lois Miller of Hagerstown, MD, 2 nieces Trina Minor of Columbia, MD and Onna Keeney of Rocky Ridge, MD, 2 nephews Mark Miller of Williamsport, MD and Marlon Miller of Smithsburg, MD, 2 goddaughters Angela Fulton of Hagerstown, MD and Gretchen Bridendolph of Syracuse, NY and her cousin and caregiver Susan Anders of Hagerstown, MD.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a godson Warren Steven Slayman.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday July 30, 2019 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD 21795. For the convenience of family and friends the funeral home will open Tuesday at 1:00pm.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 31, 2019 at 2:00pm at St. James Brethren Church 17716 Lappans Rd. St. James, MD 21733 with Pastor Jerry Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport, MD.
