Louella Ann "Lou" Lewis

Bakersville, MD – Louella Ann “Lou” Lewis, 61, of Bakersville, MD passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.

She was born on January 22, 1958 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Lloyd William Sr. and Daisy Marie Duvall Gearhart.

Lou was a 1976 graduate of North Hagerstown High School Hagerstown, MD and attended Hagerstown Junior College Hagerstown, MD.

She was a Homemaker.

She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church Bakersville, MD and also a member of the Ladies Group.  She was very involved with Church activities and helped with various food banks throughout the County.

Lou was very active with school functions and made sure the middle school children never went hungry.

She is survived by her husband Billy Dean Lewis whom she married on June 1, 1985; daughter Elizabeth R. Lewis and a son Nathen W. Lewis both at home; brother Lloyd W. Gearhart, Jr. of Hagerstown, MD; two ½ sisters; four ½ brothers.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, July 18, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at Bakersville Cemetery Bakersville, MD that adjoins Salem Lutheran Church on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 11:00 am with Rev. Darrell L. Layman officiating.
