Marian McCauley Obituary

Williamsport, MD – Marian Marie “Mary” McCauley, 78, of Williamsport, MD Our Beloved Mother peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 as a result of battling multiple myeloma cancer at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.

 

She was born on January 7, 1940 in Pinesburg, MD daughter of the late Albert Theodore and Edna Florence Hose Jackson.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerrymi “Sonny” McCauley on November 13, 2003 whom she married on August 2, 1956.

 

She attended Pinesburg School, and later received her GED in 1995.

 

Mary formerly was employed by Londontowne Manufacturing in Boonsboro, where she worked as a seamstress for 27 years.  Then retiring after 10 years of service at Direct Mail Processors, Inc. of Hagerstown, MD.

 

Prior to her illness she attended Cutting Edge Ministries.

 

She was a proud “Past Pocahontas” of the Red Feather Council #59 of Williamsport, MD.

 

Mary is survived by her daughter Cindy Myers of Falling Waters, WV; son Jerry Lee McCauley and his wife Heather (Starliper) of Clear Spring, MD; grandchildren Ricky Myers, Jr. and his wife Katrina (Malott) of Martinsburg, WV, Amanda (McCauley) Houser and her husband Andrew of Downsville, MD, Jessica McCauley of Clear Spring, MD, and Jeremiah McCauley of Clear Spring, MD; great grandson Ricky Myers, III of Martinsburg, WV; Roger Myers wonderful caretaker of her two precious cats Denny and Mama of Falling Waters, WV; many nieces and nephews; sister Shirley M. McCauley of Pinesburg, MD; brother Richard D. Jackson of Pinesburg, MD; brother Merle E. Jackson of Pinesburg, MD.

 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by four sisters Carrie V. Linderman, Amanda Jane Jackson, Dortha V. Smallwood, and Betty L. Ebersole; two brothers Walter T. Jackson and Lewis G. Jackson; and a step sister Clara V. Maloy.

 

Mary will be remembered for the loving and compassionate way she took care of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.  She extremely enjoyed cooking, baking, camping with her family, and playing bingo.

 

The family wishes to thank the Panhandle Home Care Staff, and also the Panhandle Hospice Staff for their wonderful care and support.  Many of the ladies gave such excellent passionate care and words of encouragement during her illness.

 

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.

 

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Robert V. Robinson officiating.  Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD.
