Williamsport, MD – Mary Elizabeth Michie, 88, of Williamsport, MD and formerly of Prince Georges County passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Hagerstown Health Care Center Hagerstown, MD.
She was born on August 7, 1931 in Capital Heights, Maryland to the late William Leonard and Mary Fountain Payne Newton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Anderson Michie, Sr. on September 1, 2009.
She was employed by Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, MD for 13 years until her retirement in 1997. She was previously employed by Equitable Savings and Loan in Wheaton, Maryland for 13 years.
Mary was of the Seventh Day Adventist Faith. She most recently attended West End Baptist Church in Hagerstown, MD.
She is survived by her daughter Brenda D Steiner and her husband Dave of Queen Creek, AZ; daughter Lynda I. Schrack of Damascus, MD; son Jeffery A. Gilmore of Ireland; 7 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter.
She was predeceased by a son Stephen W. Gilmore; two sisters Evelyn M. Passwater and Hattie L. Booth; grandson James Michael Steiner; great grandson Bradley James Steiner.
Services will be private.
