Hagerstown, MD – Nadine Mae Hayes, 90, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Elizabeth’s House Hagerstown, MD.
She was born on May 12, 1928 in Rotan, Texas to the late Charlie Brady and Nellie Irene Dewey Hanna.
Nadine was a loving mother, always helping family and friends, and especially maintaining a clean house.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Albert “Bud” Hayes, Jr. on August 6, 2012.
She graduated from Corpus Christi High School in Corpus Christi, TX.
She was employed by Mack Truck Inc. of Hagerstown, MD until her retirement.
She was of the Protestant Faith.
Nadine volunteered with the Washington County Hospital for many years.
She enjoyed playing bridge and belonged to several bridge clubs.
She is survived by her daughter Janice M. Campbell of Smithsburg, MD; grandchildren Beau Grove, Scott Redmond, Jeremy Grove, Nathan Powell, Shannon Campbell, Ben Powell, Timmy Campbell, and Andrew Campbell; 10 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter Sharon K. Grove and a son Kenneth D. Powell; sister Janice Hanna and two brothers David Hanna and Andrew Hanna.
A memorial service will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastor Terry King officiating.
Nadine’s wishes were to have her remains donated for medical research.
Burial services will be private.
