Williamsport, MD – Norma Jean Lowman, 83, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Doey’s Hospice House of Washington County surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on January 21, 1935 in Funkstown, Maryland to the late Lewis H. and Helen Rowland Dellinger.
She was a 1952 graduate of Williamsport High School Williamsport, MD.
Norma was employed by WD Byron Tannery, Federal Silk Mill, and retired from Potomac Edison.
She was a member of Red Feather Council #59 Degree of Pocahontas Williamsport, MD and was part of their Shuffleboard League.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years Larry S. Lowman, Sr. whom she married on August 1, 1953 in Funkstown, MD; son Larry “Skip” Lowman, Jr. and his wife Dena; son Brian Lowman and his wife Karen; son Michael Lowman and his wife Jaime; grandchildren Heather, Megan, Ryan, Brianne, Kelli Sue, Will, Hayden, Addison, and Terrie; great grandchildren Brody, Rory, Jules, Josie, Anderson, Lawson, Grayson, Kennedy, Blaze, and Denver; twin sister Nelda Harbaugh and her husband Cecil “Butch”; brother Lewis “Jim” Dellinger; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother Donald Dellinger and his wife Pat, sister in law Bertha Dellinger, and nephews Scott and Craig Harbaugh.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 12:00 pm (noon) on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00 am with Chaplain Bob Fraley officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD.
