Williamsport,MD – Paul Neal Divelbiss,Sr.,82,of Williamsport,MD passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Julia Manor Nursing Home in Hagerstown,MD.
He was born on October 3, 1936 in Hancock,MD to the late Millard Blake and Lillith Mae Bishop Divelbiss.
Paul was employed with Mack Trucks,Inc. in Hagerstown until his retirement in 1995 and was previously employed with Potomac Edison in Williamsport and Hagerstown.
He was a graduate of Hancock High School Class of 1954.
He served with the U.S. Army Reserves during the Korean War.
He was of the Presbyterian Faith.
He was a member of Potomac Post 202 American Legion – Williamsport,MD; where he held numerous positions. Conococheague Tribe #84 I.O.R.M. – Williamsport,MD. Potomac Fish and Game Club – Williamsport,MD. Amvets Post 38 – Falling Waters,WV. Eagles Inc. – Waynesboro,PA. A social member of the F.O.P. and a member of the Goodwill Athletic Club in Hagerstown,MD.
Paul is survived by 2 daughters; Linda K. Twigg of Hagerstown,MD; and Sherrie J. Trinchera of Warfordsburg,PA. 3 sons; Paul N. “Bud” Divelbiss,Jr. of Clear Spring,MD; Rick L. Divelbiss of Hagerstown,MD; and John D. Divelbiss and his wife Patti of Mercersburg,PA. 6 Grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren; and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Paul is preceded in death by 2 sisters; Joan Minton and Brenda Divelbiss; and by 1 brother; Millard “Mel” Divelbiss.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday December 5, 2018 from 6 – 8 pm at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport,MD; the funeral home will be open at 9 am for the convenience of family and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday December 6, 2018 at 11 am at Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Hancock,MD with Pastor John Cook.
