To the family of Rev. Frank Mays- hello my name is Priscilla and I like to share a Bible scripture from 2 Corinthians 1:3,4; God...who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort we receive from God. What that means for us when a loved one dies. Go to J.W.org for answers to Bible questions. Sincerely, Priscilla

Dear Mays family,
I wanted to send my sympathy to you. I have very fond childhood memories of you when you pastored at Calvary Assembly of God in Norfolk, Virginia. My parents always thought very highly of you. Our families had some great times of fellowship. My mom just went to heaven in May this year so Pastor Mays, my mom and dad are having some great reunions right now!

Sister Phyllis, Bonnie, and Phillip,
My deepest condolences to all of you!! Bro.Frank and the entire Mays' family hold a special place in my heart, and have since that Sunday evening in August of 1972 when my family and I knelt at the altar at Trinity AG in Lanham and I gave my heart and life to the Lord. Pastor Mays not only loved and accepted this wild street child, but was instrumental in helping me develop foundational roots in the Kingdom that have helped me stay centered and focused for over 40 years. I love you Bro. Frank and look forward to celebrating Jesus with you in eternity! Bonnie, you were my best friend and I miss you so much! My heart goes out to you my friend... please.get in touch with me. Sister Phyllis, you were the first example of a Godly woman outside of my Grandma, who had a major impact on my life. I learned more about becoming a Christlike woman by watching you than I ever learned in any other setting. I pray the Lord comforts your heart as only He can. And Phillip, while I know you the least as you were so young back then, I have heard your Dad, Mom, and sister speak highly of you over the years. What an amazing example your Dad was! I pray that your heart will be comforted as you carry on the mantle of Godly fathership to your own children. I am so sorry that I won't be able to attend the service but I will be there in spirit. May God bless you all!!

Dear Family,
It has been an honor to assist Frank over the past several years & get to know each of you. Frank was my favorite (don't tell) & I looked foward to seeing him each visit. He always brightened my day. He will he missed by all but we can rejoice in the fact that we'll all be together again one day. Blessings.

Not only was Frank one of the funniest men, but also he was one of the A/G's best preachers....we loved being his music associates in the 1970's. He will be missed!

To: Mrs Mays, Bonnie and Phillip
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of a great man. I remember while working at the church he was such a joy each day. He would have coffee with the employees and always be there for us if needed for prayer. He loved the members of the church and cared with his whole heart to each of them. He will surely be missed. Love you all. Ann Herndon

Dear Sister Mays, Bonnie & Phillip - you are family to me and my family . . . my heart aches. Of course, you all always love people and always make people your family . . that is your strength, and example to others. Brother Mays gave of himself, loved, and encouraged others with sound christian counsel. I have always considered Brother Mays to be my "spiritual" father, as whenever I needed solid christian guidance I could go to him and he was always there. The angels are singing, heaven is rejoicing, and God is collecting all our tears. May you feel God's comfort during this time. Love you all, Dolly

I remember going to Trinity on Sundays when visiting my grandparents, Otis and Maude Deese, and I loved listening to Brother Mays' sermons. My sincere condolences to the Mays family.

Mrs. Mays, Bonnie and Phillip, I am so very sorry for your loss right now. Pastor Mays was always so kind and honest with me. My favorite memory of him was in Israel when he sat on the camel and the camel struggled to stand up! He was awesome.
My prayers are with you all right now.
