Robert Keller "Bob" Snyder

Williamsport, MD – Robert Keller “Bob” Snyder, 91, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Doey’s House Hagerstown, MD.

He was born on January 2, 1928 in Williamsport, MD to the late Herman Keller and Dorothea Judith Grimes Snyder.

He was a 1945 graduate of Williamsport High School Williamsport, MD.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II.

Bob was a self-employed master Electrician and previously had been employed at E.I. Dupont in Falling Waters, WV for 29 years.

He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Williamsport, MD where he held many positions and was a faithful servant.

He was a lifetime member of Western Maryland Sportman’s Club Williamsport, MD; member of Conococheague Tribe #84 I.O.R.M. Williamsport, MD and Potomac Post #202 American Legion of Williamsport, MD.

Bob volunteered with the Habitat for Humanity Projects in Washington County.  He also enjoyed hunting.

He is survived by his wife E. Geraldine “Geri” (Shank) Snyder whom he married July 2, 1949; son Robert G. Snyder of Sharpsburg, MD; daughter Dorothy Ann Hawbaker of Williamsport, MD; sister Dorothea Chidester of Delaware; grandchildren Robin Dunn (Craig), Tami Snyder, Billie Jo Pryor (Eric), and Michael Hawbaker; great grandchildren Jessica, Alexandra, Alaina, Cameron, Nickolas, Dylan, and Erynn.

A memorial service will be held at Zion Evangelical Church Williamsport, MD on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11:00 am with Pastor Kim Nunberg officiating.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
