Williamsport, MD – Robert Leroy Teach, Sr. 92, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Doey’s House Hagerstown, MD.
He was born on March 24, 1926 in Pinesburg, MD to the late Jacob E. and Grace Mentzer Teach.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan R. Funk Teach in 2007.
He was employed as an Electrician by Lonestar Cement for 35 years until his retirement in 1987.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Robert was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Williamsport, MD.
He was also a member of Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Williamsport, MD and Pinesburg Neighborhood Club.
He loved riding his bike and fishing. He was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed playing bingo with the Seniors at McDonald’s on the Sharpsburg Pike.
He is survived by his daughter Darlene M. Teach of Hagerstown, MD; daughter Linda K. Sisk of Hagerstown, MD; son Robert L. Teach, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Hagerstown, MD; son David R. Teach and his wife Brenda of Walkersville, MD; brother Elwood Teach and his wife Vera of Hagerstown, MD; brother Norman Teach and his wife Paula of Big Pool, MD; sister Helen Ridenour of Williamsport, MD; sister Betty Hartman of Hagerstown, MD; granddaughters Roberta Kesselring and Amanda Teach-Wolfe and her husband Steve; grandsons Bryan Teach and his wife Chris and Adam Teach; great grandchildren Audrianna Kesslering, Katelyn Teach, and Justin Teach.
He was predeceased by two grandsons Anthony Kesselring and Kyle Teach; brother Evan Teach; and sister Naomi Keller.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Wednesday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastor Kim Nunberg officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD.
