Hagerstown, MD – Ronald Lee “Peanut” Harshman, 78, of Hagerstown, MD went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 29, 2019 at his home.
He was born on December 19, 1940 in Pinesburg, MD to the late Charles Russell and Velma Viola “Jean” Shank Harshman.
He was a 1958 graduate of North Hagerstown High School Hagerstown, MD.
Ronald was employed by PSI in Williamsport, MD for 25 years until his retirement. He was previously employed at Brandt Cabinet Works of Hagerstown, MD and previously worked with his father at Hebb’s Garage in Hagerstown for many years. Ronald and Joanne were co-owners of Keepsake’s by Joanne, Inc.
He was of the Protestant Faith.
He was previously a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Chewsville, MD and most recently attended Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church n Boonsboro, MD.
Ronald was a past member of BPO Elks #378 Hagerstown, MD and the Eagle’s Club in Waynesboro, PA.
He is survived by his wife whom he married on August 18, 1962 Joanne Anthony Harshman; son Russell L. Harshman of Hagerstown, MD; son Christopher L. Harshman of Hagerstown, MD; granddaughter Amanda L. Harshman of Hagerstown, MD; great grandson Xavien Madison of Hagerstown, MD; 1 sister; brother in law Tom Anthony and his wife Yvonne; brother in law Dick Anthony and his wife Louise; sister in law Rose Anthony; sister in law Janet Rollins and her husband Keith.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after `12:00 (noon) on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Rev. John Schildt officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD.
