Ruth Eileen Eavey

Hagerstown, MD- Ruth Eileen Eavey, 80, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at her home.

She was born on January 19, 1937 in Hagerstown, Maryland to the late Harry Snavely Koontz and Pearl May Bishop Koontz Ridenour.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Lee Eavey, Sr. on August 7, 1998.

She was a Homemaker.

She was a member of Calvary Temple of Williamsport, MD.

Ruth loved and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Donna M. Eavey of Martinsburg, WV; son John K. Eavey, Sr. of Hagerstown, MD; sister Irene Howard of Maugansville, MD; sister Pearl Simpson of Keedysville, MD; grandchildren Dawn McDonald of Martinsburg, WV, John Eavey, Jr. of Hagerstown, MD, and Dylan Eavey of Hagerstown, MD.

She was predeceased by a son Donald Lee Eavey, Jr., infant son James Edward Eavey, grandson Justin Lee Eavey, sister Anna Thomas, brother Edward Koontz, brother Harry Koontz, brother Norman Koontz, and stepfather Albert Ridenour.

Graveside services will be private.
