Ruth King Obituary

Taneytown, Maryland-Ruth Jean Horne Newlin King, 86 of Taneytown, MD passed away on Saturday September 22, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Ruth was born October 26, 1931 in Bishop, Virginia to the late Jack and Thelma Horne. Her family moved to Frederick, MD in 1941. She married Robert Henry Newlin in 1949. Her children Robert Henry, Jr. was born in August of 1950 and lives in Chambersburg, PA, Judith Leona was born in August of 1952 and lives in Walkersville, MD, Thelma “Tammy” was born in December of 1959 and lives in Frederick, MD and Bernice “Bunny” was born in September of 1967 and lives in Frederick, MD. Ruth also has 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

There will be no viewing.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday September 26, 2018 at Greenlawn Memorial Park 127 Britner Ave. Williamsport, MD 21795 at 2:00pm with Lt. Chris Raymer of the Salvation Army officiating.

Memorial Donations may be made to Salvation Army 223 West 5th St. Frederick, MD 21701.
