Ruth Margaret Mills

Williamsport, MD – Ruth Margaret Mills, 89, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at her home.

She was born on March 10, 1928 in Hagerstown, MD to the late John and Sylvia Irene Bowers Ardinger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Samuel Mills, Sr. on April 17, 1989.

She was previously employed at the Federal Silk Mill in Williamsport, MD.

She was of the Protestant Faith.

Ruth enjoyed gardening, taking care of her flower garden, traveling and watching Nascar Races.

She is survived by her daughter Linda K. Fuller and her partner Dennis Benedict of Hagerstown, MD; son Roger L. Mills of Williamsport, MD; son R. Gene Mills and his wife Diann of Sharpsburg, MD; sister in law Dorothy Mills; special brother in law Norman Mills; brother in law Daniel Reed; grandchildren Debbie Shaffer whom Ruth helped raise and her husband Todd; Roger Mills, Jr.; Joey Mills; Brian Mills; Margaret; Misty Summers and her husband Ben; Chuckie Mills; Michael Mills; Amanda Frushour and her husband Daniel; numerous great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son Charles S. Mills, Jr.; sisters Beulah Green, Helen Reed and an infant sister and brothers Ralph Ardinger, John Ardinger and an infant brother.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 1:00 pm on Monday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD.
