Sharon Kay Grove

Hagerstown, MD- Sharon Kay Grove, 70, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Doey’s House Hagerstown, MD.

She was born on October 5, 1947 in Anderson, Indiana to Allan Raymond Powell of Hagerstown, MD and Nadine Mae Hannah Hayes of Hagerstown, MD.

She was a 1965 graduate of South Hagerstown High School. She also attended Hagerstown Junior College and Elim Bible Institute in Lima, NY.

Sharon was previously employed at Faith Chapel in Hagerstown, MD and prior to the church she was employed with the Herald-Mail Company.

She was a member of Crossroads Church State Line, PA where she was the President of the Women’s Aglow Ministry in MD.  She was a Bible study teacher, involved with the care and prayer ministry with Elim Gospel, NY. Sharon created a worship Dance ministry in NY and MD, a published author, created Christian jewelry, and was an accomplished artist.  She was dedicated to the active prayer ministry, she was always there to lend a helping hand.

Besides her parents she is survived by her stepmother Joan K. Powell of Hagerstown, MD; son Dennis W. “Beau” Grove, Jr. and his wife Dana of Williamsport, MD; son Jeremy A. Grove and his wife Leslie of St. Thomas, PA; sister Janice Campbell of Smithsburg, MD; grandchildren Joshua, Jesse, Skylar, Coby, Ashlynn, and Madalynn.

She was predeceased by a brother Kenneth D. Powell.

A memorial service will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastor Terry King officiating. 

Burial services will be private.
