Sonja Jane Fox

Hagerstown, MD – Sonja Jane Fox, 78, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.

She was born on September 4, 1939 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Charles David Sr., and Adaline May Swope Mills.

She attended Boonsboro High School Boonsboro, MD.

She was a Homemaker.

She was a Christian.

Sonja loved spending her free time shopping and going out to eat.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years Philip Lowell Fox, Sr.; son Phillip L. Fox, Jr. and his wife Brenda of Hagerstown, MD; daughter Kendra S. Baer and her husband Todd of Hagerstown, MD; grandchildren Heather R. Starleper, Christopher J. Fox, Phillip B. Fox, Roland “Ras” Garde, Indy A. Baer, Sophia L. Baer; great grandchildren Carter and Molly Fox; brother Darvin Eugene Mills of Glen Burnie, MD; sister Betty Jean Hebb of Martinsburg, WV; brother Charles David Mills, Jr. of Greencastle, PA; sister Barbara Joan Myers of Falling Waters, WV; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter Suzanne Lynn Fox; son James Allen “Jimmy” Fox; and a daughter in law Peggy Fox.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 1:00 pm on Tuesday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Joy Zepp officiating.  Interment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD.
