Hagerstown, MD – Theda Virginia Monninger, 95, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018 at her home.
She was born on July 2, 1923 in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia to the late Thomas Howell and Laura Ethel Giffin Grim.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd “Fred” Monninger.
Theda was employed by London Fog Manufacturing in Boonsboro, MD until her retirement.
She was a member of Hagerstown Bible Church of Hagerstown, MD for over 50 years.
She enjoyed making quilts.
She is survived by her grandson Bryan E. Bass and his wife Jo Ann of Williamsport, MD; son in law Gerald E. Bass of Hagerstown, MD; 4 step great grandchildren; 3 step great great grandchildren; two sisters Betty Kline and Wilda Crookshank; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter Cheryl L. Bass, two sisters Bertha Bussard and Velma Cavender, and two brothers Gerald Grim and Fonrose Grim.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastor Dale Carver officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD.
