Allen R. Connelly

Boonsboro, MD – Allen R. Connelly, 84, of Boonsboro, MD passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at his home.

He was born on June 18, 1939, in Rockville, MD to the late Lloyd Wallace and Marjorie Pauline (Hawkins) Connelly.

Allen was employed as an Arborist by Asplundh, and later was employed by the Montgomery County Liquor Control.

He loved fishing, boating, and cars.  In his younger years, he enjoyed going to the horse races in Charles Town.

Allen is survived by his wife Emma Connelly; sons Joe Connelly and his wife Sharon and Chris Connelly and his wife Naomi; daughter Shelia Bise and her husband Richard; sisters Patricia Rodger and Sandy Connelly; grandchildren Mark Connelly, Katelin Crum, David Connelly, Scarlett Connelly, and Amelia Connelly; 9 great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son Mark Connelly and brothers David Connelly and Larry Connelly.

Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 1:00 pm with Kevin Smoot officiating.  The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday from 12:00 – 1:00 pm.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD.
