Obituary
Falling Waters, WV – Alton Briscoe “Al” Clatterbuck, 76, of Falling Waters, WV passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at his home.
Al was born in Virginia on December 19, 1946 to the late Robert Simpson and Mary Lee (Lunsford) Clatterbuck.
He worked for Parson’s at BWI Airport as an Underground Pipe Inspector until his retirement.
Al was of the Methodist faith.
He loved fishing, hunting, pitching horseshoes, and playing cornhole. Al also enjoyed working with his hands and doing projects around the house. Lending a helping hand was something Al did without hesitation, never asking for anything in return. He loved to go camping with his wife and friends at Riverbend where he would ride on the gator with his dog Pierra and stop to talk to people.
Al is survived by his loving wife Mary Jane Clatterbuck, whom he married on December 30, 1984; sons Jimmy and Rob Clatterbuck; stepson John Pearson; 2 grandchildren; sisters Leigh, Joyce, and Kathy; sister-in-law Barbara Cooper and husband Mike; brother-in-law Richard Lewis; best friends Kenny and Faith Demory; niece Brenda Keech and husband Gary.
He was preceded in death by a brother Robert Clatterbuck.
