Obituary

Williamsport, MD – Anna Laura DeNoon, 73, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Williamsport Retirement Center in Williamsport, MD.

 

Anna was a resilient woman and was a blessing in everyone’s life that came across her path.

 

She was born on November 21, 1948 in Dover, Ohio to the late Peter Daminic and Barbara Ellen Wright Calai.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin James DeNoon in 2012.

 

Anna was a 1967 graduate of New Philadelphia High School in New Philadelphia, Ohio.

 

She was employed by the MVA as a Title Clerk until her retirement.

 

She was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge# 1540 Rockville, MD.

 

Anna loved playing bingo. She was an amazing baker and especially loved making pies.

 

She is survived by her daughter Tara Rae Gordijenko and her husband Leopold John Gordijenko; daughter Tammy Ann Childers and her husband Bill; son James Michael DeNoon; sister Betty Calai; brother Peter Calai, Jr.; grandchildren Amber, Tony, Amanda, Michael, Meghan, Zachery, Ashleigh, and Keegan; 8 great grandchildren; close family friends Joshua and Joy Becker.

 

Services will be held at the family’s convenience.

 

The family would like to thank Williamsport Retirement Center for their great dedication and care for their Mom for the last 4 years.
