Williamsport, MD – Barbara Ann Baker, 82, of Williamsport, MD went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday January 12, 2022 surrounded by her children.
She was born March 18, 1939 in Williamsport, MD to the late David T.L. Sr. and Emma Virginia Bennett Malott.
She was a 1957 graduate of Williamsport High School in Williamsport, MD.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Lauren E. Baker in 2007.
She was of the Christian Faith.
She was a homemaker. She raised her three children and enjoyed keeping her grandchildren. Barbara’s family was her world. She was the best wife, mother, and grandmother.
Barbara was the youngest of 17 children. Preceding her in death were brothers: William A. Malott, Sr., Robert Malott, John E. Malott, Glenn A. Malott, David T.L. Malott, Jr., and James Malott; sisters Virginia E. Malott, Darcas A. Beldberdino, Dorine M. Harshman, Berdenia C. Hastings, Fairy Lillian Malott, and Shirley Mae Malott.
She is survived by sisters Norma Rae Cian of Lakeland, FL, Wilma Jean Startzman of Williamsport and brothers Philip Malott of Falling Waters, WV and Franklin D. Malott of Williamsport, MD.
She is survived by her three children, Timothy Lauren Baker of Hagerstown, MD, Michael Todd Baker (Kim) of Berkeley Springs, WV, and Lori Ann Gardenhour (Todd) with whom she resided with in Williamsport, MD.
She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, Christopher Michael Baker, Joshua Andrew Baker (Danielle), Lauren Elizabeth Rhodes (Chad), Justin Charles Gardenhour (Kalyn), Cody Allen Gardenhour (Danielle), Morgan Elaine Baker Mitchell (Shane), Zachary Gideon Baker (Allison), Joshua Caleb Baker, and Dillon Jarrett Baker. Twelve great-grandchildren, Coleson Rhodes, Paige Rhodes, Logan Rhodes, Kyle Rhodes, Brendan Baker, Alexis Baker, Atticus Baker, Haylen Baker, Rowan Baker, Emberlyn Baker, Madison Baker, and Brooks Gardenhour.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 12:00 (noon) on Tuesday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jonathan Laye officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport, MD.
