Bonnie Louise Collison

Hagerstown, MD – Bonnie Louise Collison, 74, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Wednesday July 26, 2023, at Doey’s House in Hagerstown.

She was born in Baltimore, MD on March 20, 1949, to the late Harry Mansfield Collison, Jr. and Etta Louise (Leonard) Collison.

She is survived by her life companion, Jesse Schissler, III

Bonnie was a Customer Service Representative for J.C. Erlich in Hagerstown, MD.

Bonnie enjoyed crafting, gardening, feeding the birds, dragonflies, lily pads, taking walks, spending time with her grandchildren, anything and everything to do with the beach, and lots of ice in her drinks. Bonnie also was extremely proud of the veterans in her family. Her father, Harry M. Collison, Jr. served in the USMC from 1942–1946 and her nephew Phillip M. Hare served in the USMC from 2011–2015.

She is survived by 2 daughters Robin Brown and her husband Billy of Falling Waters, WV and Amy Taylor and her husband Eugene Taylor, Sr. of Greencastle, PA; 2 sisters Linda Collison and her husband Bob Russell of Denver, CO and Lorie Collison of Charles Town, WV; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Douglas Weishaar, Jr., and Brian Weishaar.

Services will be announced at a later date.

Light is not lost when this dark day is gone. There comes a time of dark and then the dawn–man does not die when spirit leaves the earth. He has but gone to know another birth.
