Williamsport, MD – Carolyn Jean Baker, 54, of Williamsport, formerly of Prince Georges County, MD, passed away on Friday November 25, 2022, at Doey’s House in Hagerstown, MD surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on November 21, 1968, she was the daughter of Doris Elizabeth Dungan of Williamsport, MD and the late William Robert Baker, Sr.
Carolyn was a 1986 graduate of Laurel High School in Laurel, MD.
She was employed by Sierra Nevada Corporation as a material handling specialist for the last 12 years.
Carolyn was very devoted to her children and grandchildren and was a loving caretaker to them. She had a love for animals and even took many stray cats into her home.
She is survived by a daughter Sydney Atchison and her husband Dorian of Martinsburg, WV; son Mark Atchison, Jr. (Erika Stanley) of McConnellsburg, PA; grandchildren Korrie Atchison, Kamden Atchison, Haydn Jones, and Avery Jones; brother Thomas E. Ringer, Jr. (Linda) of North Carolina; sisters Elizabeth Ward (Tom) of Falling Waters, WV, Janet Marshall of Williamsport, MD, and Nancy Ringer of Falling Waters, WV; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins
She is preceded in death by a special brother-in-law Anthony Guglielmi and a nephew Michael Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Saturday December 3, 2022 at 6:00 pm with Linda Ringer officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Interment will be private.
