Williamsport, MD -Charles Franklin “Charlie” Boward, Sr., 78, of Williamsport, MD died Saturday, May 29, 2021 at his home.
Born June 4, 1942, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Charles V. and Dolores P. Stevenson Boward.
He was employed by Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown, MD until his retirement.
He was a Life Member and Past President of The Potomac Fish and Game Club, Inc., Williamsport; Charter Member and 1st Governor of the Loyal Order of the Moose Williamsport, MD Lodge; Life Member and Past Sachem of Improved Order of Red Men Tribe 84, Williamsport; Member of Sons of the American Legion 202, Williamsport; Member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 694, Hagerstown; Life Member of the Junior Fire Company No. 3, Hagerstown; Life Member of the Volunteer Fire Company No. 26 of Halfway.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Leslie Rudy Boward of Williamsport; two sons, Frank Boward and wife Stephanie of Hagerstown and Wayne Boward and wife Staci of Williamsport; grandchildren Ryan Boward, Cody Boward and Megan Davis; brother Michael Boward and wife Pat of Halfway; sister Kitty Boward of Hagerstown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant sister Doris Jane Boward.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 7:00-9:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11:00 am with Pastor Kim Nunberg officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown, MD.
