Charlotte Hose Obituary
Hagerstown, MD – Charlotte Louise (Moats) Hose, 88, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at her home and went to be with Jesus. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was born on January 20, 1934 in Clear Spring, Maryland to the late Grover R. and Arvilla L. Snyder Moats.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Marvin Hose in 2002.
Charlotte was a 1951 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
She was employed by Wolters Kluwer (J.B. Lippincott) as a Customer Service Manager for 24 years until her retirement. She also worked as a Tax Consultant for Jackson Hewitt Tax Service for 16 years.
Charlotte was a life member of Calvary Temple in Williamsport, MD. She taught Sunday School and served as Church Secretary for 16 years.
She is survived by her daughter Charlene Reeves and her husband Carl of Hagerstown, MD; daughter Brenda Harman and her husband Craig of Deland, FL; grandson George Reeves (Sarah) of Maryland; grandson Kevin Reeves of Arizona; sister June Cline of Hagerstown, MD; sister Esther Brinton of Hagerstown, MD; sister Gloria Bitner of Williamsport, MD; sister Mary Ann Landers (Charles) of Falling Waters, WV; special Aunt Lavada “Susie” Moats; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters Betty Jane Hose and Polly G. Landis; two brothers Richard Moats and Dennis Moats.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00 am with Rev. Robert V. Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD.
