Williamsport, MD – Darlene Izetta Moats, 72, of Williamsport, MD and formerly of Big Pool and Clear Spring passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Doey’s House in Hagerstown, MD.

She was born on May 23, 1951, in Hagerstown, MD to the late Albert Rudolph and Catherine Izetta (Wiley) Hart.

Darlene was a 1969 graduate of Clear Spring High School in Clear Spring, MD.

She was currently employed by Merkle Response/Moore Holding for 20 years.  She was previously employed by Harper and Row and Rocs Cards Gifts at the Valley Mall.

She was a devoted member of Calvary Temple Williamsport, MD.  She taught Sunday School for 40 years. 

Darlene loved spending time with her granddaughter.

She is survived by her son Dennis E. “Denny” Moats, II and his wife Sandra; granddaughter Shelby Moats; brother Robert Hart and his wife Martha; brother John Michael Hart; sister Joann Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by sisters Mary Hart, Phyllis Sword, and Linda Hull; brothers Ronnie Hart, Ricky Hart, and Kenny Hart.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 12:00 (noon) on Wednesday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 11:00 am with Rev. Robert V. Robinson officiating.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD.
