David Nalley Obituary
Sharpsburg, MD – David Eugene Nalley, 78, of Sharpsburg, MD passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD.
He was born on December 4, 1942 in Downsville, MD to the late Walter Franklin and Medessia Straley Nalley.
He was employed by Jamison Door Company in Hagerstown, MD for 46 years until his retirement.
He was of the Pentecostal Faith.
David previously belonged to Conococheague Tribe #84 IORM Williamsport, MD and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #212 Hagerstown, MD.
He volunteered with Meals on Wheels in Washington County with his brother and granddaughter.
David enjoyed fishing and hunting and cared for all the animals at his home. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Ruth Marie (Jones) Nalley whom he married on June 1, 1981; daughter Karen L. Vogel of Smithsburg, MD; daughter Kristi L. Nalley Palmer of Hagerstown, MD; son Allan S. Largent and his wife Diedre of Waynesboro, PA; sister Medessia Rhodes of Sharpsburg, MD; brother Ralph Nalley of Williamsport, MD; brother Roy Nalley of Sharpsburg, MD; grandchildren Cree, Tai, Cierra, Scott and Olivia.
He was predeceased by a son in law Mark S. Vogel and a nephew Dennis Nalley.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 11:00 am with Pastor Matt Price officiating. Interment will be private.
