Doris Lorraine Exline

Keedysville, MD – Doris Lorraine Exline, 81, of Keedysville MD passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Frederick Health Hospital in Frederick, MD.

She was born on August 28, 1940 in Keedysville, MD to the late Vernon Marcellus Sr. and Reta Annabelle Thomas Knode.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darl Ekis Exline in 1998.

Doris was a 1959 graduate of Boonsboro High School in Boonsboro, MD.

She was employed by the Washington County Board of Education as a Secretary for over 35 years, retiring in 2005.  She was previously employed as Secretary with the CIA.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sharpsburg, MD.

Doris was a member of Red Feather Council #59 Degree of Pocahontas; Eagles Club Inc.; Clopper Michael Post #10 Auxiliary in Boonsboro, MD; ABATE.

She is survived by her daughter Jackie Exline-Hassler and her husband Steve of Keedysville, MD; son Jeffrey Darl Exline of Sharpsburg, MD; niece who she raised Angie Knode-Mughal of High Point, NC; grandson Chad Cline and his wife Kristine of Boonsboro, MD; grandson Denton Cline and his wife Nicki of Boonsboro, MD; grandson Payton Kline and his wife Elizabeth of Knoxville, MD; loving great grandchildren Dayne, Gianna, Kendall, Addison, Briar, Cadence, and Jaxon.

She was predeceased by a sister Mildred “Weedie” Thomas-Miller and a brother Vernon M. “Sonny: Knode, Jr.

There will be no viewing, services and burial will be private.
