Falling Waters, WV – Edward John Kraushaar, 77, of Falling Waters, WV passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at his home.

He was born on October 2, 1943 in Baltimore, MD to the late John Mertz and Anna Mae Fisher Kraushaar.

Edward was a 1961 graduate of Glen Burnie High School in Glen Burnie, MD.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in Vietnam.  He received the Presidential Unit Citation, Vietnam Service and Combat Medals, and the National Defense Medal. He was a proud and tough Combat Marine in Vietnam with a love for his country and his fellow Marines.

Edward’s famous quotes were “Bravery isn’t lack of fear; it’s doing something even though you are afraid” and “Pain is just weakness leaving the body.”

He was employed with ADT Security Alarm Systems in Frederick and Baltimore, MD for 43 years in a variety of roles until his retirement.  He worked hard his entire life.

He was dedicated to his family, he was a strong provider, and a teacher.  He never met a stranger, his door was always open.

Edward built four houses, never met a project he couldn’t execute.  He was an epic problem solver, he was the one everyone turned to for advice.  He was a straight shooter you could always trust him to tell you the straight truth, and he always found the humor in any situation.

He was of the Catholic Faith.

Edward was a member of the VFW Post #2462 of Pasadena, MD; Potomac Post #202 American Legion in Williamsport, MD and the NRA.
