Esther Annabelle Meyers

Williamsport, MD – Esther Annabelle Meyers, 87, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Doey’s House Hagerstown, MD.

She was born on August 26, 1936, in Williamsport, MD to the late Lewis Walter Fischer and Julia Anna (Ambrose) Fischer Chaney.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Omar Meyers, Jr. on December 18, 2009.

Esther was a 1954 graduate of Williamsport High School.

She was employed by Dorby’s Manufacturing in Hagerstown, MD for many years.  She was a camp host volunteer for many years at Rocky Gap State Park.

She was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church Williamsport, MD.

Esther was also a member of Red Feather Council #59 Degree of Pocahontas of the IORM Tribe #84 Williamsport, MD.

She enjoyed shopping, cleaning, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter Unita A. Meyers-Murray of Hagerstown, MD; son Harry O. Meyers, III and his wife Paula of Williamsport, MD; sister Naomi Pfeltz of Topping, VA; grandchildren Marlin E. Meyers, Patrick A. Meyers (Karen), Tanner J. Meyers, and Danielle J. Gardenhour (Cody); great grandchildren Caleb, Kinsley, Alyssa, Brooks, and Weston.

Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her stepfather William Chaney; sisters Ruth Walters, Isabelle Miller, Helen Fischer, and Mary Ellen Huff; brothers George Fischer, Charles Fischer Sr., Bill Fischer, Bob Fischer, and Clarence Fischer.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 11:00 am with Kevin Smoot officiating.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD.
