Esther Katherine Noland

Hagerstown, MD – Esther Katherine Noland, 76, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Doey’s House in Hagerstown, MD.

She was born on October 17, 1945 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Lewis Downey and Lenore Litten Mellott Shank.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Lauck Noland, Jr. on December 10, 2021.  They were married on August 25, 1973.

Esther attended Williamsport Schools.

She was employed by AC&T in Hagerstown, MD for many years until her retirement.  She was previously employed with Two Guys in Hagerstown ,MD.

She was of the Baptist Faith.

Esther enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking and was well known for her fried chicken and cinnamon buns.  She loved having gatherings at home with her family.

She is survived by her daughter Sherri D. Hose and her husband David of Williamsport, MD; son Heath A. Hott of Hagerstown, MD; son Keith D. Hott of Hagerstown, MD; stepdaughter Cindy M. Srun of Hagerstown, MD; stepson Robert L. Noland, III and his wife Valerie of Hagerstown, MD; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren. 

She was predeceased by a stepdaughter Laura A. Kemp; grandson Jamen Srun; great grandson Ezekiel Dorsey; two brothers Lee Shank and Johnny Shank.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 4:00 pm on Tuesday for the convenience of family and friends. 

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Brother Phil Hott officiating.  Interment will be in Manor Cemetery in Tilghmanton, MD.
