Gary Joseph Emerick

Falling Waters, WV – Gary Joseph Emerick, 74, of Falling Waters, WV passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at WVU Medicine Ruby Memorial Hospital Morgantown, WV.

He was born on November 28, 1946 in Cumberland MD to the late Joseph Mandoe and Lillian Lois Coughenour Emerick.

Gary was a 1965 graduate of Highland View Academy in Mt. Aetna, MD.

He was a veteran of the United States Army Reserves during the Vietnam Era.

He was employed by WKSL in Greencastle, PA for 25 years as a Disc Jockey.  After leaving the Radio Station he took care of his handicapped daughter up until the time of his death.

Gary was a member of Willow Brook Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Boonsboro, MD.  He was a past Deacon and Investment Leader.

He served on the School Board at Mt. Aetna Elementary School.

He is survived by his wife Kaye Marilyn (Oberholzer) Emerick whom he married on May 17, 1970; daughter Kimberly Ann Emerick at home; son Byron L. Emerick and his wife Cynthia of Union Bridge, MD; sister Carole Emerick Pledger and her husband R. Harrison Pledger, Jr. of Hagerstown, MD; grandchildren Adam Emerick and Dalton Emerick; several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Willow Brook Seventh-Day Adventist Church Boonsboro, MD on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 12:30 pm with Pastor Shawn Paris officiating. The family will receive friends 1 ½ hours prior to the service on Friday at the church from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm.
