Williamsport, MD – Gary “Boomer” Scott Gladhill, 74, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Creekside Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Hagerstown, MD.

 

He was born on July 31, 1947 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Harvey Thorton and Bernadine Marie (Stockslager) Gladhill.

 

Boomer was predeceased by his longtime companion Evelyn Gladhill in 2021.

 

He was a 1965 graduate of North Hagerstown High School in Hagerstown, MD.

 

For most of his life Boomer was self-employed as a Home Improvement Contractor.

 

Throughout his life he was involved in some capacity at various organizations such as Potomac Post #202 Sons of American Legion in Williamsport, MD; Loyal Order of Moose; Veterans of Foreign Wars; North American Rod and Gun Club.

 

He enjoyed working with his hands especially doing body work, painting, and restoring old cars.

 

He is survived by his three sons Scott Gladhill and his girlfriend Heather Mason of Hagerstown, MD, Todd Gladhill of Hagerstown, MD, and Ryan Gladhill and his wife Jaime of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one daughter Lynne Stoner and her husband Rusty of Williamsport, MD; brother Jeff Gladhill and his wife Francie of Hagerstown, MD; brother Jim Gladhill and fiancee’ Paulette of Homosassa, FL; granddaughter Kaitlyn Moats and her fiance’ Brenton Snyder; great granddaughter Brelynn Snyder.

 

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Friday for the convenience of family and friends.

 

Burial will be private.
