George B. Spielman

Sharpsburg, MD – George B. Spielman, 81, of Sharpsburg, MD passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD.

He was born on February 12, 1940 in Waynesboro, PA to the late Leon C. and Josephine M. Kipe Spielman.

George was a 1958 graduate of Boonsboro High School in Boonsboro, MD.

He was employed by Eastalco Aluminum for many years until his retirement.

He was a member of Mt. Briar First Church of God in Keedysville, MD.

George was a Senior Deacon and Honorary Past Master at Brunswick Masonic Lodge #191 A.F. & A.M. in Brunswick, MD; member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Frederick Forest #132; member of Brunswick Fraternal Order of Eagles.

George traveled to and visited many Masonic Lodges in the Tri-State area.  He enjoyed wood carving and making his own wine.

He is survived by his daughter Melinda Hofe and her husband Michael of Frederick, MD; daughter in law Christine Spielman of Brunswick, MD; granddaughter Natalie Hofe; grandsons Paul Hofe and Marcus Spielman; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son George W. Spielman and a brother Gary L. Spielman.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 12:00 pm  (noon) on Sunday for the convenience of family and friends. Masonic services will be held on Sunday evening at 5:30 pm by Brunswick Lodge #191 A.F. &A.M.

Graveside services will be held at Brownsville Heights Cemetery in Brownsville, MD on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 11:00 am with Pastor Anthony W. Pomfrey, Sr. officiating.
