Gloris Ilene DeLauter

Hagerstown, MD – Gloris Ilene DeLauter, 91, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.

She was born on December 4, 1928 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Walter George and Thelma Burndetta Hughes Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Raymond DeLauter in 1958.

She was employed by Harris Corporation as an Inspector in Melbourne, FL until retiring in 1990.

Gloris was a member of Virginia Avenue Church of God Halfway, MD.

She is survived by his daughter Celia A. Elgin of Hagerstown, MD; daughter Mary C. Burkett of Hagerstown, MD; daughter Bonita K. Youngblood of Falling Waters, WV; daughter Brenda L. Vanderspool of Melbourne, FL; sister Doris Martin of Hagerstown, MD; sister Beverly Seilhammer of Hagerstown; MD; sister Shirley Young of Hagerstown, MD; sister Yvonne Young of Hagerstown, MD; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter Sarah R. Feigley, son Thomas E. DeLauter, four brothers Richard Thomas, James Thomas, Gerald Thomas, and Gary Thomas.

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Shawn Bushman officiating.  The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday from 12:00-1:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD.

Due to the COVID 19 issues we will only be allowed to let 50 attendees in for the visitation and funeral.
