Harold Butts Obituary
Hagerstown, MD- Harold A. Butts, 87, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at his home.
He was born on November 28, 1933 in Sharpsburg, MD to the late Walter H. and Julia Drenner Butts.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Etta Sue Butts in 2018.
Harold was a graduate of Boonsboro High School in Boonsboro, MD.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Harold was employed by Mack Truck, Inc. in Hagerstown, MD until his retirement in 1993.
He was a member of the UAW #171 in Hagerstown, MD and a member of Sharpsburg American Legion #236 in Sharpsburg, MD.
He was on the Advisory Board of the Human Development Council.
Harold enjoyed attending Hagerstown Suns and Baltimore Orioles games.
He is survived by his son Joseph P. Butts and his wife Lisa of Hagerstown, MD; grandson Zachary Butts and his wife Corey; great grandsons Ethan Hoffman and Zyler Hoffman; niece Cindy Bertner.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his two sisters Geneva Boyer and Peggy Baker.
