Williamsport, MD – Harry Norman “Had” Banzhoff, Jr., 89, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.
He was born on April 4, 1931 in Williamsport, MD to the late Harry Norman, Sr. and Pauline Beatrice Barnhart Banzhoff.
Had was employed as a Press Operator with W.D. Byron Tannery in Williamsport, MD for 40 years until retiring in 1994.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to butcher with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Mary Ellen Shank Banzhoff; son Richard Banzhoff of Falling Waters, WV; daughter Mary “Susie” Harsh and her husband Jeff of Waynesboro, PA; son Dave Banzhoff of Williamsport, MD; daughter Pam Banzhoff of Manassas, VA; grandson Robert Banzhoff of Spring Mills, WV; great granddaughters Lexi and Hannah; sister Catherine “Sis” Spangler and her husband Gene of Downsville, MD; sister Shirley Koogle of Downsville, MD; sister Bonnie Lee Moats of Williamsport, MD; brother Thomas Banzhoff of Williamsport, MD.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 12:00 (noon) on Monday for the convenience of family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 11:00 am.
