Williamsport, MD – Harry L. “Buck” Cline, 98, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Doey’s House in Hagerstown, MD.
He was born on March 28, 1923 in Downsville, MD to the late Harry and Dolly Wolford Cline.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Gertrude Cline in 2015.
Buck was a Crane Operator for Pangborn Corporation for over 30 years until his retirement. He worked part-time at Harold’s Sunoco Station in Hagerstown, MD for over 30 years. In his childhood, he worked for Simon Downey on his 165 acre farm near Williamsport, MD.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater during World War II.
He attended church with his children.
Buck was a charter member of the Downsville Ruritan. He was also a member of the Potomac Post #202 American Legion in Williamsport, MD.
He loved Springtime, mushroom hunting, and rabbit hunting.
He is survived by his son Harry Cline and his wife Diane of Heath, OH; son Mike Cline and his wife Karen of Williamsport, MD; son Jeff Cline of Williamsport, MD; sister Thelma “Sis” Delauter of Williamsport, MD; grandchildren Denise Holmes, Andy Cline, Tyler Cline, Alexis Cline, Mikayla Cline, and Jessica Drew; 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son Danny Cole; grandson Richard Cole; 2 sisters; 5 brothers.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open at 12:00 (noon) on Sunday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 11:00 am with Pastor Nancy Green officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD. Military honors will be provided by Joint Veteran Council of Washington County and Marine Corps League of Hagertown, MD.
