Harry Flohr Ridenour

Harpers Ferry, WV – Harry Flohr Ridenour, 90, of Harpers Ferry, WV and formerly of Boonsboro, MD passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 at his home.

He was born on February 25, 1930 in Canton, Ohio to the late John Andrew and Hazel Ruth Flohr Ridenour.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverley Ann (Warrenfeltz) Ridenour on August 12, 2016.  They were married on June 9, 1968.

He was a 1949 graduate of Hagerstown High School.

Harry was employed by the Washington County Roads Dept. in Hagerstown, MD until his retirement.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He was a member of Benevola United Methodist Church in Boonsboro, MD.  He served as a Greeter and enjoyed his bible study groups.

Harry enjoyed target shooting and was very proud of his 1000 yard competition tournament award.

He is survived by his daughter Wendy D. Pettit of Harpers Ferry, WV; grandchildren Isabella H. Pettit, Patrick E. Pettit, and Shannon N. Pettit; three great grandchildren; special companion “Buddy” his cat.

He was predeceased by four sisters Vera Powell, Darus Urich, Carolyn Hill, and June Nottingham; three brothers Harold, Richard, and Kenneth Ridenour.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, June 19, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Friday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 11:00 am.  Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD.
