Helen Rebecca Gray

Antietam, MD – Helen Rebecca Gray, 87, of Antietam, MD passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Williamsport Nursing Home Williamsport, MD.

She was born on September 17, 1931 in Antietam Furnace, MD to the late Franklin Harvey and Lottie Rebecca Gray Crampton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Franklin “Bill” Gray in 2011.

Helen was employed in Housekeeping with Fahrney Keedy Home & Village Boonsboro, MD until her retirement. She was previously employed as a Seamstress with E.J. Fennel of Hagerstown, MD for 30 years.

She was a member of Antietam Church of God Sharpsburg, MD.

She enjoyed baking, crocheting, Sunday dinners for the family and especially making sugar cookies at Christmas.

She is survived by her daughter Diane B. Harrell of Sharpsburg, MD; son Ernie E. Gray and his wife Donna of Sharpsburg, MD; son Ronnie L. Gray and his wife Jeanne of Sharpsburg, MD; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son Terry L. Gray, sister Ethel Louise Knight and two brothers Leonard Atlee Crampton and Richard F. “Rebo” Crampton.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 1:00 pm on Sunday for the convenience of family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at Mt. View Cemetery Sharpsburg, MD on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jan Wade officiating.
