Jean Louann Harp

Williamsport, MD – Jean Louann Harp, 87, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Doey’s House in Hagerstown, MD.

She was born on August 11, 1934 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Dudley Preston Barnes and Helen Clorine (Sprankle) Grant.

Jean was employed by Homewood Retirement Center in Williamsport, MD for 25 years until her retirement in 2014.  She was previously employed with the A&P Grocery Store at the South End Plaza in Hagerstown, MD.

She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Williamsport, MD.

Jean enjoyed being a Homemaker and loved to do Aerobics with her daughter and friends.

She is survived by her husband Vernon Gerard “Sonny” Harp whom she married on December 22, 1951; daughter Cheri J. Burger and her husband Sammy of Fairplay; son Gregory V. Harp and his wife Pamela of Clear Spring, MD; son Ricky L. Harp of Pinesburg, MD; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday, August 30, 2021 from 6:00-7:30 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Monday for the convenience of family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 pm on Monday with Pastor Kim Nunberg officiating. 

Burial will be private.
