Williamsport, MD – John Wayne Mason, Sr., 52, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.
He was born on November 3, 1967 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Leslie James Mason and Emma Jean Byers Divelbiss.
He was a self-employed Contractor.
John attended Calvary Temple in Williamsport, MD.
He was a past coach at Conococheague and West End Little Leagues. He coached the Williamsport Vikings for more than 10 years. He also coached Junior League Basketball for several years.
John was an avid Yankees and Steelers Fan.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years Christine Mason; son Brandon Smith and wife Andrea of Sharpsburg, MD; son John Mason, Jr. and fiancee’ Alexis of Baltimore, MD; son Tanner Maloy and girlfriend Kayle of Hagerstown, MD; daughter Malaya Maloy and boyfriend Jarret of Williamsport, MD; his loving grandchildren Brayden, Grayson, Emersyn, Wren, Ryan, Shayne, Mckayla, and Avery; sister Lynn Love and husband Allen of Jacksonville, FL; sister Bobbi Jo Ayers and friend Gerald Taylor of Falling Waters, WV; sister Patty Ayers of Hagerstown, MD; sister Jenny Spoonire and husband David of Falling Waters, WV; brother Jamie Mason and wife Sherry of Falling Waters, WV; brother Jack Mason and wife Beverly of Falling Waters, WV; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was predeceased by a sister Dawn Brezler.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Robert V. Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD.
