Johnny Tillman Obituary

Falling Waters, West Virginia-Johnny Ray Tillman, 53 of Falling Waters, WV and formerly of Keyser, WV passed away on Thursday January 23, 2020 at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.

 

Born in Steubenville, OH on December 20, 1966, he was the son of the late Harvey Melvin and Marian Frances Fisher Tillman.

 

He was a 1984 graduate of Keyser High School in Keyser, WV.

 

He served in the United States Air Force.

 

Johnny was of the Catholic Faith.  He received an Associate’s Degree from Lord Fairfax Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Phoenix.  He worked for the Prince George’s County Fire Department as a firefighter until his retirement.  He was currently working at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center in Winchester, VA as a nurse.

 

Johnny was an avid WVU fan and a great patriot who loved his country and President Trump.  He will be sorely missed by his family and many lifelong friends and he never met a stranger.

 

He is survived by his wife Lisa Brumbaugh Tillman, a daughter Colby Tillman of Germantown, MD, a son Ethan Gwinn, a step daughter Lexi Beach of Falling Waters, WV, a stepson Cameron Beach of Falling Waters, WV, a grandson Liam Barrowman of Germantown, MD, a brother Damon Tillman of Keyser, WV and his English Bulldog Sophia.

 

A celebration of Johnny’s life will be held on Saturday February 1, 2020 at 1:00pm at TJ’s Place 28 Forevergreen Drive Falling Waters, WV 25419.

 

Services and burial are private.

 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation P.O. Drawer 498 Emmitsburg, MD 21727.
