Hagerstown, MD – Jon L. Hendrickson 85 of Hagerstown, Maryland died on Sunday, November 26, 2023, in his home.  Born on September 20, 1938, in Hagerstown. He was the son of the late Orion Linwood and Virginia Louise Hendrickson.

Jon graduated from Hagerstown High School in 1955.

He was employed by Maryland Division of Corrections until his retirement in 1987.  He was also employed at Community Action Council doing part time maintenance and at the Hagerstown Speedway as Assistant Flagman. He was a member of the ARCH racing club, the Funkstown Legion, and the Williamsport Redmen Tribe 84.  He was a passionate car race fan, owner and skilled woodworker and craftsman.

Jon is survived by his wife of 63 years, A. Camille Hendrickson, his daughter Leslie Hendrickson Hart of Boonsboro, MD, and her fiancé Maynard Gress Jr.  along with his canine companions Oliver and Lucy. 

He is preceded in death by four sisters, Wanda McCalister, Katherine Kauffman, Karen Powell and Corrine Guerrero; and two brothers Chris Hendrickson and Orion Hendrickson Jr.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00pm at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday, December 4, 2023. The funeral home will be open at 10:00am on Monday for the convenience of family and friends. The burial will be held at a later date for the convenience of the family.
