Hagerstown, MD - Josephine Ann Hammond, 96, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019
at Somerford House and Place Hagerstown, MD.
She was born on August 2, 1923 in Illinois to the late Robert L. and Edith Rawlings Jarnagin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Braden Hammond on December 7, 2016.
Josephine was a graduate of Chevy Chase High School Chevy Chase, MD and the University of Maryland.
She was a Homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter Kathy L. Simmons and her husband Tom of Keedysville, MD; son Robert G. "Greg" Hammond of Chincoteague, VA; son Gary J. Hammond of Parkton, MD;
numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a sister Jeri Bain.
Services will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
