Kevin Eugene Morgan

Kevin Eugene Morgan, 63, of Keedysville, MD passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.

He was born on January 28, 1961, in Martinsburg, WV to Doloris Marlene (Nick) Morgan of Keedysville, MD and the late Russell Eugene Morgan.

Kevin was a 1979 graduate of Boonsboro High School and a 1982 graduate of Western Maryland Police Academy.

He was currently employed as the Chief of Police with Boonsboro, MD.  He was previously employed with Brunswick Police Department (1982), Washington County Sheriff Department (1983-2009), Boonsboro Police Department (2009-present).  This year marks his 42nd year as a dedicated law enforcement officer.

He was a Christian.

Kevin was a past member of NRA, NWTF, Delta Waterfowl, and Ducks Unlimited.

He is survived by his life partner Mary Pat Kulina of Mercersburg, PA; daughter Kristen Rosenberg (Robert) and their 3 children; son Andy Morgan; brother Jeff Morgan (wife Cheryl) of Greencastle, PA; sister Tracy Plasterer (husband Lee) of Greencastle, PA; sister Holly Kulikowski (husband Frank) of Hagerstown, MD; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nephews; lifelong friends Doug Hoffman, Justin Hamilton, Dave Riser, and Billy McCartney to name a few.

Thanks to Kevin’s Dad, Dick, he developed a love and appreciation for the outdoors since he was a child.  Kevin loved to hunt (especially Turkey and was a phenomenal turkey caller), Waterfowl Guide since 2001 and was enjoying Holly Marsh, the hunt retreat on the Eastern Shore of Maryland that he and Mary Pat purchased in 2020 which offered him everything from Sika Deer Hunts, waterfowl and an abondance of fishing and outdoor activities.  Kevin always looked forward to October when he traveled with his close-knit group of hunters for their annual trip to Saskatchewan, Canada to hunt waterfowl for the past 22 years. 

He had a love for dogs and worked and trained Police K9’s and detection dogs.  He was a K9 officer with the Washington County Department which tied into his love for hunting.

Kevin loved watching the Baltimore Orioles and was an avid baseball fan. 

A celebration of life will be held at Cochran Auction House 7704 Mapleville Rd. Boonsboro, MD 21713 on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 11:00 am with Pastor James Wells officiating.  The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service on Saturday from 9:00 – 11:00 am.  Burial will be private.
